Debit

परिभाषा: Debit (Dr) is the left side of an account entry. In broad terms, a debit records an increase in assets or expenses, or a decrease in liabilities, capital, or income.

"Debit" is simply the left-hand side of an entry. What you debit depends on the type of account — for example, money coming into cash, or an expense being incurred.
